Join like-minded vegetarians and vegans in our exploration of life & Los Angeles. Almost every week we'll do something, whether it's trying out a new restaurant, having a potluck at someone's house, or perhaps a veggie picnic at a drive-in. Enjoy great food and great company. The Vegetarian Dining Club was founded in the summer of 1908 by Jeremiah Price and Matthias von Besiex. It was the first of its kind in California, and possibly the first west of the Mississippi. We have revived their legacy, and try to live up to their early guiding principles, which include:
* All are welcome! You don't need to be a vegetarian or vegan to join us or come to our events. We don't particularly care what you eat and we won't try to convert you.
* No networking or self-promotion! We are not a vehicle for promoting any member, their business, or cause, no matter how related they may be. We gather for social reasons, nothing less, nothing more.
