World Fest 2010

If you're looking to try lots of different, great vegan and vegetarian food all in one place there's no better place to go than World Fest! And you're hippie or eco minded, you'll be happy as a puppy with a new bone to see all the green products, speakers, animals, and people.

This might be a self-run event, meaning I may not be going, but I figured enough members will be going that you can RSVP and comment to arrange to meet others or get a ride. (I enjoy it, but I've been quite a few times so I may elect to spend my day otherways engaged...)

To quote from their website:

"LA's Green, Compassionate Living, Music Festival

WorldFest is a solar-powered celebration of music, the environment, animals and humanity. We’re helping people learn what they can do for the Earth and its inhabitants.

The WorldFest 2010 Earth Day Festival will be held at the beautiful outdoor setting of Woodley Park in Lake Balboa, CA. We welcome our attendees to a magnificent day filled with entertainment, education and enlightenment. The combination of great music, empowering speakers, environmental, humanitarian and animal welfare non-profits, kids' activities and a delicious food court make for an earth-friendly experience that is sure to be inspiring and enjoyable for all."

It's $7 for adults to get in, but pets and kids under 12 get free entry.

Meet at the cow at 1 PM. If there is no cow, meet at the goat. If there is no goat, meet at the chicken. If there is no chicken, try to find the person with the fluffiest, lightest colored dog and just keep following them around until everyone finds each other. (Seriously, all except for the dog.) Again, I may not be there myself, so try to remember people's faces from the attendee list.
