I am betting that most of you already know Real Food Daily here in Santa Monica. I thought this would be a great place to meet for several reasons. First of all, the selections are all vegan, so this restaurant will accommodate members who are vegan as well as vegetarian. Second, the location is very close to a number of after hours establishments in case any members would like to carry the fun to another venue; after all, it is Friday night! Third, there is a new Real Food Daily Bakery and Cafe next door to the restaurant that I look forward to checking out. Looks like a great place to get a tasty dessert after dinner. And finally, I love the food at RFD, especially the "TV Dinner": tempeh meat loaf, mashed potatoes and fresh steamed vegetables. I also love their veggie burgers as well. I hope to see a few more members at this week's gathering, but we will have a great time no matter how many show up!

This was a wonderful group, very lively, great food. All in all quite a success. A great mix of people and everyone seemed to enjoy the stimulating conversation, getting to know new vegetarians in the area. With 7 attendees, more than double the previous week, I hope we can keep growing. This is really fun. Come along one and all and join us in upcoming get-togethers. You will have a great time!
