Lunch @ Govinda's: $7 All-You-Can-Eat Vegetarian Buffet
I have had a request from some of our members to try Govinda's just off the 10 Freeway @ the Robertson Exit in the West L.A./Venice/Culver City area. All vegetarian cuisine. I have never been there, but am looking forward to it. If anyone who has eaten there wants to forward me some thoughts, I will be happy to pass them on to the group. It looks like a very interesting experience, and they have a $7.00 all-you-can-eat vegetarian buffet. How can you argue with that? Good to see some new faces: thanks for coming Monica, Lauren, Maasai, Nora & Sylvia! Also good to see some regulars: Devra, Jeff, Harnesh, Quincy, Michelle, Kay & Raymond. 13 of us, all in all a pretty good crowd! I will bring my own plates and silverware next time, however, along with my now infamous cloth napkins, as I detest throwing anything away after eating! At least their disposable ware was made of compostable bagasse (Bagasse is the fibrous residue remaining after sugarcane or sorghum stalks are crushed to extract their juice.), but still I prefer reusable for environmental reasons.
